Promoting Personal Growth: Facilitate meaningful conversations that encourage participants to share challenges and seek personal development.
Addressing Industry Practices: Illuminate and confront detrimental practices across different sectors, centering on the often-overlooked needs of patients and consumers.
Empowering Individuals: Support individuals in achieving their aspirations and discovering joy throughout various life stages, advocating for a vision of justice and fulfillment.
Advocating for Food Sustainability: Increase awareness of the significance of growing food and its effects on family and community empowerment. The goal is to show that even individuals without prior experience can succeed.
Fostering Independence: Organize discussions that promote personal autonomy and liberation, encouraging participants to believe in their capability and capacity to overcome challenges.

My Heart Story is strengthened by many different roles - from being a mom, a wife to becoming a widow, a daughter, a colleague, and a friend to those who have welcomed me into their lives through the thick and thin. Each role has taught me to face challenges with a smile (or not), to shed tears in times of difficulty, and to find strength (and sadness) in moments of pain. My faith has been tested, but it stands unshaken. I speak from the depth of my experiences, having navigated the highs and lows of healthcare for my loved one, which left me feeling ill-prepared when I had to leave the hospital without him one fateful night. Now, I stand - taller, stronger and focused, and yes, guided and supported by the love of God who is the "Lifter of My Head." I am a woman who has been humbled and empowered, and now advocate for health justice and equity. My goal is to uplift others, inspire courage, and share stories of how others have lifted me. My hope is that my truth encourages, empowers and inspire others to "Own Your Being."
